Normally, at this time of year our customers come in to refresh their wardrobes looking for the latest Spring and Summer styles.
But these are far from normal times, over the past couple of months we have quickly turned to an online-only operation as the spread of coronavirus forced our High Street store to temporarily close, for the first time ever in 124 years.
The government has now given the go ahead for non-essential shops to re-open. We expect it will ‘take a little time’ before our customers will return to their normal shopping habits, but anticipate a gentle increase in business week on week.
You might be asking yourself ‘What measures has Broadleys put in place for the safety of customers and staff?’ We have implemented the appropriate and necessary government procedures to give us all confidence. We have restricted the number of customers to six at any one time, so we have a ‘Wait Here’ sign. There is hand sanitiser available on entry, social distancing markings and screens at till counters.
Can you try on clothes in our store? At the moment the government and trade bodies have advised shops to keep changing rooms closed. So, our customers will be able to purchase and try them at home and return them for a full refund if necessary. However, we are working on plans to enable customers to try clothes on safely once the guidelines are relaxed either quarantining for 72 hours and/or steam-cleaning clothes that customers have tried on and not bought, as well as items that have been returned. We will also be sanitising changing rooms between customers.
We are re-opening our store on Wednesday 17th June at 10am and will be in FULL SUMMER SALE mode.
